Grow mushrooms at home, for fun or for profit (there it is, that dirty word, MONEY!). Mushrooms aren't quite as hard to grow as some people try to make it.
They are a lot like gardening. There are rules to follow for good crops. There are tips and tricks that make it work, or not. But all it is, really, is Nature, with a little help.
If you try to take over, and do Nature's job for her, and control everything too much, things get very complicated. You can't imagine how many things Nature does for you with a little consideration, and how much time and effort (not to mention MONEY) she can save you when you learn to work WITH her instead of against her.
Natural mushroom cultivation allows you to do things that you cannot do otherwise. And some of it is pretty cool stuff!

Mushrooms may cause allergic reactions in sensitive people. Some mushrooms are more likely to do this than others. Please research possible reactions prior to consumption. We are not responsible for how you choose to use the mushrooms listed on this site, and do not claim that any mushrooms are completely safe to consume regardless of classification of edibility. We do not warrant that our information is without error either - Mycology is a complex science, with a great deal of confusion even among top professionals in the industry. The information presented is correct to the best of our knowledge, but our knowledge is certainly incomplete.
We do not make any claims as to the efficacy of any mushroom product to treat or prevent any disease or condition. We are not medical professionals and will not provide advice on alternative medicine use for any mushroom. Please consult a doctor or alternative practitioner prior to using any mushroom product for treatment of any disease or illness.
Nothing on this website should be construed to be providing definitive identifications of any mushroom. Mushroom identification is a separate subject. We only provide growing information as far as we are able, for mushrooms which have been verified by a mycological authority as the mushroom in question. It is your responsibility to verify that the mushroom you are growing is in fact the mushroom that we list on these pages.
